Artist's Description
This southern hackberry lost the tops of its branches to the Texas snowstorm in 2021. The tree is tough and still alive. I think it looks dramatic against dark clouds. This photograph was taken with a 35 mm Canon AE-1 that my dad bought in 1977, and he handed down to me this last weekend. It's so exciting. Oh, and the film was also expired by maybe a decade.
